How to Collect Data on the Go with NeboAir?

Our solution allows you to easily collect data while on the move. To do so, you need to update your device's software and install the NeboTrace app for Android.
Updating the Device Software
No port selected

If you didn't select a port because you didn't see your device listed, try the following steps:
  1. Make sure that the device is connected to this computer (the one that runs the browser that shows this website)
  2. Most devices have a tiny light when it is powered on. If yours has one, make sure it is on.
  3. Make sure that the USB cable you use can be used for data and is not a power-only cable.
  4. Make sure you have the right drivers installed. Below are the drivers for common chips used in ESP devices:
  1. Visit flash.nebo.live.
  2. Connect your NeboAir device to your computer's USB Type-C port.
  3. Select "Tech Firmware" and click "Connect."
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Installing the NeboTrace App
  1. Download the NeboTrace APK file for Android from this link.
  2. If you experience any issues during installation, refer to this guide on how to install APK files on Android.
Using the NeboTrace App
  1. Turn on your NeboAir device.
  2. Open the NeboTrace app (ensure Bluetooth is enabled).
  3. Select your device’s serial number on the main screen.
  4. Press “Open” to enter the data transmission mode.
Now, the app is ready to start recording data:
  • The connection status should show as "connect."
  • GPS status will be displayed as "GPS Signal Fix."

To start recording, press “Start.” You can close the app — it will continue running in the background.

To stop recording, open the app and press “Stop recording.” All recorded data is stored in the “Database” section on the main screen, where you can download it in CSV format.
Data Visualization
We’ve created a simple service to visualize the data from your NeboAir device. Simply go to nebotrace.pidt.net, click “Load CSV,” and upload your file. Your data will be displayed on a map with precise location coordinates.
